What we're about!

Lorain County blogger is our way of trying to draw attention to our local Businesses/organizations. You can read/write reviews, articles, or events, check the weather, browse through news feeds being drawn from all over our county, or even find something to do on a rainy day. I hope to inspire residents to take a more active role in community affairs and buy from local venders whenever possible. I am a firm believer in the power of numbers, if we can get even a small percentage of our community to work together under one voice the changes we can make will be far reaching and phenomenal. Lets make an effort to stop letting our business leave the county. We've already lost Dell Lumber, Wikes Lumber, Elyria Harley Davidson, National Gypson, the Lorain Ford plant, and many more. What will it take before we make a combined effort to stop the loss of locally owned small business or big business with many employees and decent wages.

Our Goals!

We'd like to work towards having Lorain County Blogger's Calender populated with events from our cities, schools, churches, and charities; making finding cheap/free events easy. Sure you can go to the respective website and find this information, But we're hoping to have a calender searchable by city or event. If you feel like finding a free local band or festival to enjoy we plan on bringing them to one location, while keeping our site simple.

Check back often during the early stages we plan on including:

• Streaming audio featuring local bands.
• Calender populated with events from our cities, schools, churches, and charities.
• Directory listings of locally owned businesses from roadside stands to franchises.
• Articles written by people in our community on many topics.
